He was also the first in the United States to win all of the sales awards of the previous 20 years. A 1944 graduate of Corry High School, he also attended Gannon University in Erie, Pa. He was born in Corry, Pa., the son of the late Merle D. "CC" Coons, 93, of Westminster Drive in West Ellicott, died Septemin his residence.
